Danny Moore, 64, died Monday, Aug. 23, in Wichita Falls.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church in Wichita Falls with Dr. Ike Butterworth officiating. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Moore was born Nev. 25, 1945, to N.A. and Frances Moore. He was a native Wichitan and graduated from Wichita Falls High School and Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He continued his education and became a certified Public Accountant with accreditation in Business Valuation. He was also professionally certified by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and was a Certified Valuation Analyst, and Certified Financial Forensic specialist. He was a senior, managing partner of Moore, Camp, Phillips & Patterson, L.L.P., actively practicing as a CPA for more than 40 years.

A lifelong resident of the area, he contributed in many ways to the area. He served as a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, The American Institute of CPA’s, and the Certified Fraud Examiners. He was a member and past president of Wichita Falls CPA’s, served as an Advisory Board Member of the Wichita Falls Museum and Art Center, and was current president and chairman of the Board of the Wichita Valley Water Supply Corporation. He was also a member of the President’s Excellence Club at Midwestern State University, a supporter of the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He and Betsy Gavin Moore were married Jan. 1, 1988.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Nolan A. III,
Survivors include his mother of Wichita Falls; his wife of Iowa Park; two sons, Ronny Sawyer of Holliday, and Jeff Sawyer of McKinney; a sister, Nancy Hammond of Liberty, MO.; a brother, Tommy of Iowa Park; and four grandchildren.
