W.R. “Bill” Huckobey, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 24, in Graham.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Father Raymund Mullen, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Burial was held in Pioneer Cemetery.
Mr. Huckobey was born Aug. 22, 1920, in Ryan, OK., to the late Ira David and Myrtle (Dollins) Huckobey. He served in the United States Army during World War II and received a Bronze Star. He and Billie Espinola were married Jan. 22, 1943, in Bracketville. He moved to Graham in 1953 from Coleman. He was a Foremost milkman for many years, and after retiring was a truck driver for Stephens Trucking in Graham. He was a member of the Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny, in 1979.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marie Choate of Graham and Lori Bohannon of Iowa Park; three sons, Kenneth of Canyon Lake, Ronny of Spring Branch, and David of Live Oak; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
