Bobby Rufus Bishop
1936 - 2014

Bobby Rufus Bishop, 77, of Iowa Park, died on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Anchor Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A son of the late Ella Elzadie (Clark) and Sterling Clarence Bishop, Bobby was born on Sept. 10, 1936, in Oklahoma City, OK. He worked for Orkin Exterminators for several years prior to opening his own company, Lone Star Pest Control, which he owned and operated for over 40 years. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing music, restoring old cars and going to car shows. He was also a member of Swinging Stars Square Dance Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold “Red” Bishop and Gene Bishop; and a sister, Ella Fay Dean.

Survivors include his wife, Angel Bishop, of Iowa Park; children, David Bishop of Wichita Falls and Sheila Hare of Iowa Park; step-children, Robert Bishop and Ricky Bishop, both of Wichita Falls, and Darren Russell and Jodi Lama, both of Iowa Park; brother, Carl Bishop of Newcastle, OK; sister, Virginia James; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
