Robert E. Adams, Jr., 20, died Saturday, Aug. 25.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Nichols officiating. Burial will be held in Bowman Cemetery.

Robert was born Oct. 7, 1986, in Wichita Falls to Robert “Bobby” and Thalia Adams.

He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He graduated Wichita Falls High School in 2005, and was recently accepted into the Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison academy. He enjoyed kickboxing, music, skateboarding, and spending time with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Jefferson Adams.

Survivors include his father, Robert Earl Adams, Sr., of Iowa Park; his mother, Thalia Adams of Wichita Falls; his brother, Cory Joe French of Henrietta; a sister, LaTia Dionne Gillaspia of Fort Worth; grandparents, Nancy Louise Adams of Maryland; Vickie Mae Jones of Register, Ga., and Edward G. Jones of Register.
