Clarissa Kay Smith, 61, of Wichita Falls and formerly of Clinton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sara Hardaway, minister of St. Marks Methodist Church in Wichita Falls, officiating.
Burial will be held in the Clinton Cemetery.
Clarissa Kay (Mayfield) Smith was born Nov. 2, 1949, to Raymond Mayfield and Hester (Cordes) Mayfield-Sorter in San Diego, CA. She was raised and attended school in Clinton. She and Emmitt Mack Smith were married July 12, 1968, in Bessie. He served in the military and they traveled extensively and lived in many places until his retirement and they made Wichita Falls their home. She had been an Avon Representative and distributor for a number of years. She attended St. Marks Methodist Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; and a son, Michael Smith.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Kevin of Iowa Park, Shawn and Terry of Wichita Falls; her step-father, C.G. Sorter of Wichita Falls; and nine grandchildren.
