Jimmy Ray Miser
1944 - 2010

Jimmy Ray Miser, 66, passed away Monday, Sept. 6.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Taylor, pastor of Grace Baptist Church and Rev. F.M. Bryant, officiating.

Interment will be at Crestview Memorial Park.

A son of the late Carl and Irene Miser, he was born June 10, 1944, in Wichita Falls. He attended Fannin Elementary, Reagan Junior High and Wichita Falls High School. He and Patricia Ann Hall were married in 1962. He was employed as a cook for many years at Pioneer Restaurants and later retired from PPG after 32 years of service. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing a guitar, making furniture, cooking, and was an artist and sculptor.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Homer, Mickey, and Ricky; sisters, Mildred Cumper and Mary Todd; and his great-grandchild, Jocelyn.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, James of Wichita Falls; three sons, Tony and Terry, both of Wichita Falls, and James Patrick “Pat” of Iowa Park; a daughter, Traci (Miser) Railsback; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, Tx. 76308.
