Starla Denise Hamilton Ward, 42, of Iowa Park, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8.

Memorial services were held Tuesday at Lakeview Church of God with Mr. Ted Gray officiating. Services were under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Ms. Ward was born July 30, 1965 and had been a resident of this area since 1979, and was a member of the Church of God. She graduated Iowa Park High School in 1983, and attended Midwestern State University before graduating from Gainesville College with a degree in nursing.

Survivors include a daughter, Hayli Melissa Ward of Iowa Park, and Nicholas John Ward of Iowa Park; her parents, Billy T. and Wyvone Hamilton of Electra; and two brothers, Norman of Iowa Park, and Kelvin of Wichita Falls.
