Jerry James, 74, of Wichita Falls, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2007, at the Lakeview Church of God with the Rev. Ted Gray, senior pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
A son of the late O. A. and Berta (Branham) James, he was born January 1, 1933, in Gladewater. Mr. James served our country in the Korean War. He retired from the United States Air Force. He also retired from Wichita County, where he had worked as a deputy county clerk. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and served as treasurer. He was a member of the Founders Lions Club and Lakeview Church of God in Iowa Park.
Survivors include his wife, Mary James of Wichita Falls; three sons, David James and wife, Kay of Iowa Park; Randy James and wife, Janice of Wichita Falls; and Kevin James and wife, Catrina of Ponder; eight grandchildren, Michael James; Melissa Crabtree and husband, Brian; Cambron James; Christa James; Devon James; Zachary Hamilton; Kari Posey and Josh Posey; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., this evening at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
