Billy Don Stewart
1925 - 2017

Billy Don Stewart, 91, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Lakeview Church of God with his three sons, Roy, Ron, and Lonnie Stewart officiating and Pastor Daniel Robertson assisting.

Graveside services will follow at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Billy was born on Dec. 8, 1925, to John Robert and Belle Marie (Harmon) Stewart. He married Colleen Armstrong on Jan. 17, 1947, in Henrietta. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy. He was a member of Lakeview Church of God and was active in supporting his sons’ ministries. He worked for Medders Oil Company for many years.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents; six siblings, Marie Stewart, John Robert Stewart, James Allen Stewart, Patsy Lee, Martha Ann Stewart, and Mary Frances Stewart; and one granddaughter, Tammy Renae Stewart.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen of Iowa Park; three sons, Rev. Roy Stewart of Birmingham, AL., Rev. Ronnie Stewart of Lakeland, FL., and Rev. Lonnie Stewart of Naples, FL.; seven siblings, R.A. Stewart, Judy Williams, Georgia Moore, and Mickey Lewis all of Iowa Park, Dorothy Stout of Wichita Falls, Betty Jo Parkhill of Grady, OK., and Sue Coleman of Las Cruces, N. M.; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
