Belinda Kay (McClendon) McCarley
Belinda Kay (McClendon) McCarley, 64, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Iowa Park Church of Christ with Mr. Bill Lockwood officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Belinda was born March 26, 1947 in Wichita Falls to J.W. and Vida (Terrell) McClendon. She graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1965 and worked 25 years for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a supervisor in their business office. She was the 1991 ABWA Business Woman of the Year and Volunteer of the Year for the Abilene School District. She also worked as a Medical Records Coder for several hospitals. She was a member of the Iowa Park Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, bird watching, and participating in water sports. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Belinda is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jimmy and Phil McClendon.
Surviving relatives include her husband, David McCarley of Iowa Park; daughter, Melissa Fullerton of City View; son, Scott Pennington of Lubbock, TX; daughter Amy Tyler of Paradise, TX; daughter, Robyn Crocker of Midlothian, TX; son Kyle McCarley of Waxahachie, TX; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
