Terry Edwin Matthews, 30, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 in Gurnee, IL.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ted Spear officiating.

Terry was born Dec. 26, 1979, in Wichita Falls, to Larry and Joanna Lightsey Matthews. He attended schools in Iowa Park and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy from Jan. 1998 until Nov. 2003.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Hertlein of Gurnee, IL.; daughter, Alexandria Matthews of Gurnee, IL.; parents, Larry and Joanna Matthews of Iowa Park; grandmother, Billie Matthews of Iowa Park;and two sisters, Christy Potter of Iowa Park, and Melissa Hill of Wichita Falls.

A college scholarship fund has been set up at First Bank, Iowa Park, for Terry’s daughter, Alexandria Matthews.
