1925 - 2007
Johnnie L. Reeder Jr., 81, passed away Monday, Sept. 17.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with Rev. Tommy Shook and Pastor Joe Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Mr. Reeder was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Iowa Park to Johnnie L. Reeder Sr. and Cereta (Hendricks) Reeder. He was a lifelong resident of the area and married Virginia Lee Rampy Oct. 19, 1946, in Iowa Park. He retired in 1986, as senior accountant with Wichita Clutch Company after 30 years of service. He had been a member of Highland Church of God since 1948, where he had served as clerk for 37 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, from 1943-1946, as a Signalman First Class. As a Young Man he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He enjoyed singing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-father, Troy Robinson.
Survivors include his wife of Iowa park; two sons, Johnnie L. III of Wichita Falls, Walter of McKinney; a daughter, Shellie Durbin of Houston; a sister, Mickey Shook of Bloomington; and seven grandchildren.
