Leona Ethelyn Shelton Moore, 94, died Saturday, Sept. 24, in Kyle.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Tim Moore, son of Leona, officiating. Burial was held in Highland Cemetery.
Leona was born March 26, 1917 in Lockney, to Robert and Clara (Broyles) Shelton. She and Ottis “Babe” Moore were married March 26, 1938, in Lockney. Leona was a long time member of the Kamay Church of Christ and a 53 year resident of Valley View prior to moving to Wimberley where she lived for 11 years and was a member of the Wimberley Church of Christ. She was a private care nurse prior to her retirement.

Her parents; husband; four brothers, Euel, Bert, Vernon and Kyle Shelton; and three sisters, Hazel Shelton, Jewel Ochsner and Leota Mosley preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Dale Moore of Guthrie, OK., Gary Moore of Iowa Park, Judy Hutson and Tim Moore, both of Wimberley, and Mary Jane Schmitt of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.
