Laura May Lockwood Dray, 79, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25.
A celebration of her life was held Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Holliday with Rev. Shelly McNew officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Falls Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Mrs. Dray was born April 21, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Kenneth and Gertrude Lockwood. She graduated St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland, in Jan. 1954, as an RN. She and Clifford A. Dray were married July 2, 1955. They moved to Wichita Falls in 1958. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, sewing, gardening, birds, painting, reading, and volunteer work. She was a RN at Wichita General Hospital for 25 years. Since retiring, she has been actively involved in Interfaith Ministries and First United Methodist Church of Holliday.
Survivors include her husband; her sons, Douglas of Iowa Park, David of Goldthwaite, and Dale of Houston; a daughter, Diane Wilkinson of Wichita Falls; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interfaith Ministries.
