Herbert M. Wilburn
Herbert M. Wilburn, 87, of Longview, formerly of the Wichita Falls area, died Friday, Sept. 24, in Longview.
Graveside services were held Monday at Highland Cemetery with Mr. John Brock, Jr. officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilburn was born March 22, 1923, in Cove, to George M and Icie Elizabeth Wilburn. He and Nina Potter were married May 21, 1948 in Kamay.
He served in the US Army, five years four months and 11 days during WWII.
He and his wife owned and operated the Hamilton Coffee Shop in the Hamilton Building for 14 years. He worked for Cox Drilling, McGaha and Walsh and Watts for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and seven brothers.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Herbert M. Jr.; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and four step great-grandchildren.
