George Glen James
1930 - 2008
George Glen James, 78, passed away Friday, September 26, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral Services were held at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, AR on Wednesday with Rev. Vernon Fowler officiating. Graveside Services followed at the Jasper Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.

Visitation was held at Dutton Funeral Home Monday.

Mr. James was born January 26, 1930 in Jasper, AR to Dewey and Velma (Brasel) James. He was a graduate of Jasper Schools. He and Peggy Newton were married August 2, 1952 in Marshall. He retired from Halliburton in 1991 where he worked as a Field Man. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Tom James; and one sister, Vala Butts.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy of Iowa Park; two daughters, Suzette Morgan, and Nigel Uline both of Iowa Park; four brothers, Bruce of Gainesville, Lex of Pawhuska; Lytle and Gerald both of Jasper, AR; four sisters, Hazel Peoples of Jasper, AR, Goldia Knotts of Clarksville, AR, Jean Hudson of St. Joseph, MO, and Sue Nell Morris of Clarksville, AR; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
