Delfina M. Rivera
1919 - 2012

Delfina Munguia Rivera, 92, of Wichita Falls, died Monday, Oct. 1, at Texhoma Christian Care.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Rivera and Helen Sanchez officiating. Interment will be held at Rosemont Cemetery.

A daughter of the late Rafaela (Rodriguez) and Gregorio Munguia, she was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Ennis. She married Raymond Ortega Rivera Jan. 20, 1937. She worked in housekeeping for 20 years at Woods Convalescent Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, David, Raymond Jr., and Freddie; and a daughter, Delilah Jones.

Survivors include four sons, Mike of San Diego, CA, Moses of Jeffersonville, IN., Ruben of Clermont, FL., and Lee Roy of Wichita Falls; five daughters, Ernestine Menchaca of Fresno, CA., Minnie Perez of Iowa Park, Erma Watkins of Jeffersonville, IN., Emily Huston of Clarksville, IN., and Janie Connolly of Wichita Falls; 37 grandchildren; and 73 great-grandchildren.
