Georgia Ellis Mankin Coats, born February 14, 1921 in Boles, AR., to William Ellis and Mattie Louis Sims Mankin, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, in Holliday.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daryl Sewell officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel 300 E. Cash St. Iowa Park.

Ellis married Ola Russell Coats April 27, 1940, in Wichita Falls. She graduated from Valley View High School where she played volleyball and was Valedictorian of the senior class of 1940. Ellis was a resident of Holliday, Texas since 1979.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ola Coats; and her three brothers, Buster Sims, Arlin Sims and Jack Sims.

Survivors include three children, Mary Kerbow of Wichita Falls, Jack Coats of Wichita Falls and Garry Coats of Plano; nine grandchildren, 11 great -grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
