Dennis Van Freeman
Dennis Van Freeman, 61, died Monday, Oct. 6, in Bowie.

Services were held Friday in the drawing room of the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie with Jamie Reed officiating. Burial followed at Freeman Cemetery.

Mr. Van Freeman served in the National Guard and worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement in 2002.

Survivors include children, Dennis and Jody, both of Iowa Park; brothers, Elba of Perrin, Morris of Muskogee, OK., Dolen of Bowie, and Marlon of Alvord; sisters, Donna Brown of Chico; and Treva Simmons of Jacksboro; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the New Harp and Freeman Cemetery.
