Patsy Ruth (Parrott) McLemore Henager, 78, of Woodson, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, in Abilene.
Funeral Services will be held at 1p.m. today, in the Chapel of Dutton Funeral Home, with Rev. Pete Parker, pastor of Throckmorton Baptist Church, officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Baptist Church in Woodson.
Patsy was born March 28, 1934 in Woodson to James Ermon and Dadie (Jones) Parrott. She attended school in Woodson and then attended TCU and Ranger College. She married J.W. McLemore. She retired from the Iowa Park CISD as a cafeteria cook. She also worked for Joe Baxter Cleaners, Harvey’s Restaurant, Dairy Queen, City Café, Mac and Billy McCray’s and Neil Collier. She helped with food distribution in Iowa Park, and worked in the concession stand for her kids and grandkids. She moved to Woodson to be with her mother in 1991.She served on the Senior Citizens Board at Throckmorton for sixyears and delivered meals during that time. She enjoyed fishing, country music, dancing, crocheting, traveling and reading. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Woodson, and Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.W. “Jake” McLemore; brother, Waymon Parrott; son, Micheal Shawn McLemore; grandson, Christopher Miller; and second husband, Joe Henager.
Survivors include her children, Patty Lambert of Woodson, James McLemore of Iowa Park, Rusty (Bill) McLemore of Lubbock; brother, Bobby Parrott of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
