Reba Gilmore Newman, 96, of Wichita Falls, passed away Friday, October 12
.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 16, at Heritage Church with Pastor Ron Barnard, officiating. Interment followed at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Reba was born July 30, 1916 in Boyd, to the late D.W. Ireland and Amanda Arrington Ireland. On May 14, 1939, she married Dee Gilmore. They were married 39 years until his death in 1978. On Dec. 4, 1982, Reba married William “Bill” Newman. She was a member of Heritage Assembly of God. Reba was an accomplished self taught seamstress, and loved cooking.

She was also preceded in death by William “Bill” Newman; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Brown of Iowa Park and Doris Thornhill; two sons, David Gilmore and James Gilmore; step-children, Bob Newman and John Newman; a brother, Marvin Ireland; and several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
