Gene Hale, 82, passed away at his home in Iowa Park, Friday, Oct. 13.
Memorial services were held Monday in Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rod Payne officiating.
A son of the late Jewel (Christopher) and Jesse James Hale, Gene was born on May 18, 1935, in Afton. He was a shade tree mechanic who enjoyed tinkering and trading cars every year. He was a believer in the 2nd Amendment and a gun enthusiast. He was an independent truck driver by trade.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Billy Hale and Douglas Hale; daughters, Diana Barile and Michelle Frye; and great-granddaughter, Brinley Hale.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Beth Hale of Iowa Park; children, Debra Kneis, James Hale, both of Fort Worth, James Frye of Lorenzo, Marla Bolf of Wichita Falls; and Jessica Hale of Iowa Park; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
