Roger Tinnerstet

IOWA PARK – Roger Tinnerstet passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services with full military honors will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park with Dr. Jon Eckstein and Rev. John Kay officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Roger was born March 12, 1947 in Montesano, Washington to Ora and Neva (Simons) Tinnerstet. He served two terms in the Vietnam War with the US Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force he served as a Civil Service employee at SAFB, TX and retired after 20 years of service.

Roger and Marti Riley were married March 31, 1973 in Oklahoma. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

His father, Ora Tinnerstet, and his granddaughter, Jacqueline Ruth Riley, preceded him in death.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Marti Tinnerstet, a son, Brent Wade Cummings; mother, Neva Tinnerstet of Washington; brothers, Alan Tinnerstet and Daryl Tinnerstet; his niece and nephews, all of Washington; stepsons, Ross Riley of Aurora, Texas, Randy and Shannon Riley of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Wade Cummings; Grant Cummings; Natalie Fuller and husband, Josh of Amarillo, Texas; Farrah Riley of Wichita Falls, Texas; Bonnie Riley attending Ole Miss; Spencer Riley attending University of Arkansas; and great grandchildren; Carson Blythe, and Killian Scout Fuller of Amarillo, Texas.
