Herman Joseph Scott
1941 - 2010

Herman Joseph “Joe” Scott, 69, of Wichita Falls passed away on Oct. 24 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Oct. 27 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rod Payne officiating. Burial was in Crestview Memorial Park.

Mr. Scott was born on May 13, 1941, in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late John Scott and Alice Marie Scott. He married Wanda Carol Ewing on Dec. 22, 1962, in Tiguana, Mexico. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Joe was a member of the D.A.V. and was a longtime volunteer at the Wichita Theatre where he was known at the “Popcorn Man.” He drove the bus at Central Baptist Church in Wichita Falls for many years.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Scott, and one grandson, David Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda of Wichita Falls; two children Lisa Scott Jackson of Wichita Falls, and Kevin Joseph Scott of Iowa Park; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
