Darlene Rhoades, 58, of Wichita Falls died Friday, Oct. 21, at a Wichita Falls hospital.
Graveside services for special friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. today in Crestview Memorial Park with Gerald Bryant officiating.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Pentecostal Church of God with Gerald Bryant officiating.
Darlene was born Sept. 15, 1953, in Wichita Falls to Leroy and Lois (Crain) Ford. She and William Chester Rhoades were married March 1, 1978, in Wichita Falls. She had lived in Wichita Falls and Bowie her entire life. She was an active member of First Pentecostal Church of God, where she was a volunteer. She had also been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was involved with Headstart and Bowie PTA.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; her parents; a grandson, Roger Casper Bridges; two brothers, Roy Lee and Wayne Ford; three sisters, Louise King, Glenda Ford, and Patsy Tellez; and her grandparents, Albert and Mirty Crain, and Lee and Frankie Ford.
Survivors include her children, Albert Rhoades ad Lois Ann Rhoades, both of Wichita Falls; sisters, twin, Charlene Weitzel of Wichita Falls, and Annette Minderman of Iowa Park; brother, David Ford of Wichita Falls; and four grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
