Ray William Anderson, 94, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008, in Granbury.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Burkburnett Cemetery, Burkburnett, with Rev. Lamoin Champ, retired Baptist minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home, Iowa Park.
Mr. Anderson was born June 20, 1914, at Bridgeport, Wise County, to Thomas Robert and Josie Morgan Anderson. He married Gladys Mae McDaniel on May 13, 1939, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was a longtime resident of Burkburnett prior to moving to Iowa Park. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burkburnett, and a World War II Veteran, serving in the Navy Seabees, a member of the Scottish Rite, Lubbock, the Masonic Lodge, Burkburnett, past Patron of the Burkburnett and Iowa Park Orders of the Eastern Star, and was employed by the Mobil Pipeline Company for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Mae, in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie of Edmond, OK.; and a daughter, Peggy of Weatherford; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
