Alice Bonar
1945 - 2008
Alice Elaine Peterson Bonar, 63, passed away Saturday, October, 25, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Cary Stockett and Rev. Vicki Landrum officiating.

On Friday services will be held at Roush Funeral Home in West Virginia with Rev. John Frum officiating. Burial will be held in Ravenswood Cemetery.

Mrs. Bonar was born August 31, 1945, in Wichita Falls, to Roy and Mary Peterson. She was a graduate of North Texas State University in Denton, and retired in 2001, after a 27-year career in sales and service management with Park Davis Pharmaceutical Company, now Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. She was named the first female sales manager for the company and was the recipient of numerous sales awards. She was a certified Mississippi Master Gardener, a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working and traveling along with her husband, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Charles Peterson.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Jackson (Jack) Wilson Bonar of Brandon, MS.; mother, Mary Peterson of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Robin Hudson of Sandyville, W.V.; a son, Brook Bonar of Brandson, MS.; two brothers, Carroll Peterson of Van Alstyne; and Gordon Peterson of Iowa Park; and two grandchildren.
