1934 - 2007
Jacob A. “Jake” Jacobi, 73, died Friday, October 26, 2007, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 29, at Faith Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Spear, Pastor, officiating.
Graveside services followed at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.
Mr. Jacobi was born October 12, 1934 in Charlie, and was a lifelong resident of Iowa Park. He married Wilma Kingcade on February 14, 1962, in Wichita Falls. He worked for Levi Strauss and Company and later worked for Howmet until his retirement. He was active with Partners in Education as a Howmet employee. He served on the Iowa Park Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was the chairman for the Ambassadors. He also served as president of the RAC Board of Directors, and held numerous offices in the Red River Bluegrass Club. He and his group played monthly for Midtown Manor and Iowa Park Health Care Center. He was also a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfons Jacobi; and his mother, Agnes Mary (Roessler) Jacobi; and a brother, David Jacobi.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Kingcade Jacobi of Iowa Park; and a son, Andrew Jacobi of Steamboat Springs, CO.
The family suggests memorials be made be made to the Iowa Park RAC, 806 N. 3rd. Street, Iowa Park, TX 76367.
