Willie Fred Hastings

Willie Fred Hastings, 82, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

A Celebration of Life was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Grace Church with Dr. Tom Rodgers, officiating. Arrangements wereunder the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Willie was born on September 28, 1935 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Willie and Oddy (Hill) Hastings. At age 15, Willie joined the United States Navy, and served our country proudly. On January 22, 1955, he married Rose Mary Low in Burkburnett, Texas. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he spent the next 34 years working with Civil Service. During this time, Willie received his degree in Accounting from Midwestern University. After retirement, Willie and Rose Mary enjoyed traveling for many years with the Pro Bowling Association. He also enjoyed going fishing and golfing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Oddy Hastings; and his wife, Rose Mary Hastings.

He is survived by his children, Greg Hastings and wife Becky, Judy Stevens and husband Jim, and Robert Hastings and wife Sally; his sisters and brother, Bertha Ann Cole and husband Richard, Julia Davis and husband David, and Joel Hastings and wife Vicki; five grandchildren, Jeremiah Stevens and wife Lindsey, Janna Bain and husband Eric, William Hastings, Ian Bradburn and wife Lindsay, and Kyle Bradburn; five great-grandchildren, Jered, Carson, Luke, Makynli, and Turner; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
