Lona Mae Smallwood
1929 - 2008

Lona Mae (Liston) Smallwood, 79, passed away Friday, November 7, in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services were held Tuesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wichita Falls with Rev. Dale Snyder, pastor officiating. Graveside Services followed at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smallwood was born May 20, 1929 in Beloit, WI to the late Conrad and Laura Liston. She married Herbert Smallwood on December 31, 1949 in Beloit. She enjoyed arts and crafts such as knitting and painting, and worked for 37 years as a clerk at the Midwestern State University Library. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert of Iowa Park; daughter, Cathy Loucks of Iowa Park; son, Jon of Bedford; two sisters, Lois McGowan of Beloit and Eleanor Mendell of Portage, WI.; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
