Nelwynn Carroll Berry
1933 - 2014

Nelwynn Carroll Berry, 81, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the chapel of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor Rod Payne of the First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls and Dr. Michael Dean of Fort Worth officiating.

Interment was held at Crestview Memorial Park.

Nelwynn was born on Aug. 14, 1933, in Jena, LA., to Nelson E. Blackman and Theresa (Matthews) Blackman. She attended schools in Orange and graduated from high school there. She married Billy Jack Dean in 1951. He passed away in 1994. She lived in Wichita Falls for over 60-years. In 1997, she married Charles Berry. She was a medical secretary, working in the healthcare industry and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband.

She is survived by her husband Charles Berry of Wichita Falls; son, Dr. Michael Dean of Fort Worth, daughter, Donna Foster of Iowa Park, three step-sons, Charles A. Berry of Iowa Park, Tommy J. Berry of Hermleigh, and Stephen P. Berry of Gainesville; a brother Currie L. Blackman of Clinton, S. C.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
