Kenneth “Recil” Joyce, 90, of Wichita Falls, passed away Saturday, Nov. 11.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Reggie Coe, officiating.
Interment followed at Crestview Memorial Park.
Recil was born on Oct. 27, 1927, in Maude, OK. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. While serving, he was on the USS Gregory and received the World War II Victory Medal and the American Area Campaign Medal. He served as past president of the North Texas Home Builder Association, and past president of The Iowa Park Muleskinners. He also served on the board of Red Door and delivered for Meals on Wheels for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Joyce; his mother, Velma Holiday; his grandmother, Minnie Jane Thomas; and longtime companion, Gay Dudley.
Survivors include his daughters, Connie Joyce and Tammy White, both of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren; and 11 eleven great-grandchildren.
