Walter Lee Minderman, 74, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, in Wichita Falls
.
A private family graveside services were held on Tuesday under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Memorial services were held at the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park.
Walter was born Aug. 5, 1937 to William and Alvina (Moeller) Minderman. He attended Iowa Park and Electra schools. He worked in the oil field for InterDrill in Libya, worked for Bentley (Bosco), and was the owner and operator of Minderman Frac & Cement Company. He enjoyed spending his time ranching, working on cars, gardening, gathering pecans, and telling jokes. He was also a member of the Electra Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leta (Stewart) Minderman; and one sister, Anna Bates.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Annette (Ford) Minderman of Iowa Park; two daughters, Kathy Garcia of Wichita Falls and Kimberly Driskill of Ennis; one son, Duane Easter of Electra; two step-daughters, Melissa Sanders and Angela Kemper, both of Wichita Falls; one brother, Gene of Cookie Town, OK; one sister, Katherine Freda Bryant; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls or to the Farmer’s Scholarship at First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park.
