Jeanne Gail Stewart
1954 - 2015

Jeanne Gail Stewart, 61, of Wichita Falls, died on Sunday, November 15.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Colonial Church with Pastor Ronnie Whitfield officiating.

Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.

When attending the service, the family asks that you wear something bright in her honor.

A daughter of the late Juanita (Harper) and Marvin McDaniel, Jeanne was born on March 1, 1954, in Wichita Falls. She attended school in Iowa Park most of her life. After a year out of state in Eugene, OR, Jeanne graduated from Hirschi High School in 1972. She married Dennis Stewart. Jeanne worked at M.D. McDaniel Plumbing, Wichita Home Health Service and Lin-Mour Drilling. She was later vice president of the family business, Stewart Environmental Air Systems. She volunteered for the Wichita Falls YMCA membership drives and the Tornado Alley Racquetball Tournament for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later in life became a member of Floral Heights United Methodist in Wichita Falls. After a brain tumor was discovered in 2007, she went through a series of health challenges and eventually moved into the Rolling Meadows community where she lived for four years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Marvin McDaniel.

She is survived by her children, Melisa Nichols of Wichita Falls, and Derek Stewart of Austin; former husband, Dennis Stewart; a sister, Kathleen McAferty of Henderson, NV; and three grandchildren.
