Delano Scott Battle
1962 - 2010

Delano Scott Battle, 48, of Cresson passed away suddenly Friday, Nov. 19.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial was held in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Scott was born Sept. 24, 1962, in Fresno, CA., to Rolland and Bertha Battle.
He and Colleen Wiens were married in Grapevine Feb. 20, 1999. He attended L.D. Bell High School and graduated in 1981. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and was a longtime resident of Hurst. He was a member of Gateway Church. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, fishing, electronics, and riding his Husquvarna lawn mower.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife; his father, Rolland of Iowa Park; and a sister, Darla Roper.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Pacific Youth Correctional Ministries, P.O. Box 833, San Bernardino, Calif., attn. Chaplain Don Anderson.
