Jolynn Lawson, 75, of Wichita Falls passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Tenth and Broad Church of Christ with Pastor Larry Suttle, officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Jolynn was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Wichita Falls, to Frances and Ober Scott. She was a lifetime resident of Wichita Falls, attended Wichita Falls High School, and was a lifetime member of Tenth and Broad Church of Christ. She and Tommy Lawson married Nov. 16, 1956. During her lifetime, Jolynn held several secretarial positions for local business, and Tenth and Broad Church of Christ.
After retirement, she continued to provide secretarial services for several attorneys and was working for Charles Perry and Gary Southard at the time of her death. She volunteered for local charitable agencies including the Sonshine House, United Way, and The Arc. She and Tommy hosted bike riders during the Hotter than Hell for more than 20 years.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Joy Norton of Abilene, and Sherry Jones, and Sandra Meaders, both of Wichita Falls; a son, David Lawson of Iowa Park; a brother, Dwight Scott of Nashville, TN., seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
