Jacob Colton Lane
1999 - 2017

Jacob Colton Lane, 18, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, at United Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Park Place Christian Church, 4400 Call Field Rd., Wichita Falls, with Rev. Alice Hupp, officiating.

Interment followed at Bellevue Cemetery in Bellevue under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Jacob was born on Feb. 12, 1999, in Wichita Falls, the son of Brandon Lane and Melanie Walker. He was a native of Iowa Park and graduated from Iowa Park High School in May of 2017. He was a Texas Scholar. He was a self-taught computer programmer and networker. He repaired and rebuilt computers and electronics of all kinds. He was currently working at Sealed Air Corporation. He was a longtime member of the Park Place Christian Church in Wichita Falls.

Survivors include his parents, Brandon and Cara Lane of Iowa Park, Melanie and Pete Chapa of Rockwall, and John Hicks of Rowlett; his siblings, Bethany of Wichita Falls, Elijah and Ava Hicks of Rockwall, Brooklyn and Breeli Lane of Iowa Park, Desiree Hicks of Wichita Falls, and Ryan Bowden of Glendale, AZ.; his grandparents, William and June Lane of Iowa Park, Yvonne Baker of Wichita Falls, Jo Ann Marquart of Chillicothe, and Gary and wife, Jill Marquart of Wichita, KS; and great-grandmother, Frankie Marquart of Quanah;

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Freddy Walker; and Papa Terry Baker of Wichita Falls.
