Mrs. Melton was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Herman Melton of Wichita Falls; mother, Georgia Lindsey of Wichita Falls; two sons, Lindsey of Hilltop and Floyd of Wichita Falls; a brother, Lawrence Lindsey of Iowa Park; a sister, Jimmie Reagan of Wichita Falls; and six grandchildren.
