Edith Pauline Counts Whitley, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 in Iowa Park
.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary House officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Edith was born July 23, 1921 to Garrett and Gertrude Counts. She worked as a taxidermist and a waitress and later worked as an aide for Iowa Park Healthcare Center. She and John C. Whitley were married Dec. 28, 1939 in Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Edith is survived by her daughters Leolon Cherry of Mahtomedi, MN and Dolores Welch of Lewisville; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
