Frances Sargent Selph Kulhanek
1926 - 2011

Frances Sargent Selph Kulhanek, 85, of Bridgeport, formerly of Megargal, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, in Decatur.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport.

Burial was held in Restland Cemetery in Olney with Dr. David Burrows officiating.

Frances was born Oct. 19, 1926, near Electra, to Millie (Grooms) and Roscoe Sargent. She graduated Valley View High School in 1943. She and Billy V. Selph were married May 2, 1947, in Kamay. He passed away Jan. 16, 1980. She and George A. Kulhanek of Megargal were married Oct. 25, 1986.

He passed away Dec. 16, 2006. She was a homemaker She joined the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport after moving to Bridgeport in March 2007.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jonathan and Stephen Selph; a granddaughter, Lisa Clarke; a stepson, Randy; and two brothers, Weldon (Heavy) Sargent and Alvin Sargent.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Clarke of Bridgeport; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step children; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
