J.W. White, 56, of Wichita Falls passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, in Dallas.
Services were held Wednesday at Aulds Funeral Home with Roger Deerwater, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Archer City, officiating. Interment followed in Archer City Cemetery.
J.W. was born Aug. 21, 1955, in Wichita Falls to Kenneth Henry White and Marcella Ailene Morris White. He and Rita Pyle were married April 18, 1992, in Wichita Falls. He was a former resident of Archer City where he attended Archer City High School. He moved to Iowa Park, where he lived for 17 years before moving to Wichita Falls in 2009. He was an oil field worker and then was employed as a maintenance mechanic for PPG in Wichita Falls for 14 years until his retirement. He had coached Little League Softball in Iowa Park. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working in the yard and spending time outdoors. He attended Cross Country Church in Holliday.
He was preceded in death by his mother on Feb. 14, 2008; his father, on July 23, 2008; a sister, Juanita Nichols on Sept. 20, 1007; and a brother, Wayne on Oct. 3, 2007.
Survivors include his wife of Wichita Falls; three sons, Jerry Cullar and John “J.J.” White, both of Iowa Park, and Andy White of Canyon; two daughters, Lisa Still of Holliday and Brandy Horath of Durant, OK.; a brother, Butch White of Wichita Falls; a sister, Carolyn Schroeder of Archer City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
