Irene E. Hibbs
1919 - 2010

Irene E. Hibbs, 91, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Redding officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Irene was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Wichita Falls to John Rufus and Maggie Effie (Brown) Tucker. She married Lewis Nathan Hibbs on February 14, 1941. She was an active member of ARC in Wichita Falls and helped her husband build the first workshop for the ARC in Wichita Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sons, Lee Roy and Dan Hibbs.

Survivors include her brother, Bobby Tucker of Iowa Park; and a sister, Patsy Wilson of Wichita Falls.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Rhodes, Frank Rexrode, Dylan Rexrode, Richard Wilson, Jason Donahoe, Chris Donahoe and Byron Donahoe.

The family suggest memorials be made to the ARC or to the Wichita Falls Boys and Girls Club.
