Bill Curry
1926 - 2008

Bill Curry, 81, a former Iowa Park resident, passed away Saturday, December 13, in Athens.

Graveside services were held Wednesday at the Hope Cemetery in Henrietta with Rev. Kern Railsback, minister of music with the First Baptist Church of Frankston.

Arrangements were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Mr. Curry was born December 29, 1926 in Electra to Rex L. and Ada (Birge) Curry.

He served in the U.S. Army and was retired civil service at Sheppard Air Force Base as Manager of School Health Care Services. He married Charlie Mae Scheer on March 7, 1952 in Henrietta. She preceded him in death in 2004. He was a deacon in his church as well as a member of Baptist Building Men’s Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Railsback of Athens, and Jo Ann Thomas of Plano; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
