Joe W. (Jody) Howard
1920 - 2011

Joe W. Jody Howard, 91, of Wichita Falls, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Jean’s Men’s Bible Class, Nocona, with Buddy Lee officiating. Interment was held in Nocona Cemetery.
Mr. Howard was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Nocona to A.G. Howard and Mary Jane McMillan. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He and Bette Jo Howard were married Aug. 24, 1938, in Marietta, OK. She preceded him in death April 9.

Survivors include three sons, Ed of Iowa Park, Dan of Lubbock, and Ronnie of Sugarland; a daughter, Janie Swinney of Midland; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggest memorials be made to Jean’s Men’s Bible Class of Nocona.
