Frank Wesley Jones, Sr., 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, in Wichita Falls. He was born on Oct. 22, 1930, in Wichita Falls to the late Garland and Kittie Mae Jones, Sr.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Meyenberg officiating. Burial followed at Crestview Memorial Park.
Frank served at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, from 1948-1952, receiving the Occupation Service Medal: Japan. He was a Wichita Falls Fire Fighter for over 39 years, retiring as a lieutenant and was the owner and operator of Frank’s Repair in Clay County for over 20 years. In his spare time he cared for his goats, geese, donkeys and house cat.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Jones; and brothers, Garland Jones, Jr. and Robert Jones.
Survivors include a brother, Gary Jones of Pensacola, FL; sister, Shirley Watson of Houston; four sons, Frank Jones, Jr., Ernie Jennings, Billy Jennings and Roger Jennings; six daughters, Debra Morgan, Rebecca Twilligear, Pamela Shook, Laura Jones, Connie Godwin, and Jeanne Jackson; 25 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
