Clydell Cockrum
1934 - 2010

Clydell E. Cockrum, 75, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifton McFadden officiating. Burial followed at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mr. Cockrum was born Dec. 26, 1934, in Lamar County, to Jim “Buster” and Alice Faye (Cooper) Cockrum and attended school while growing up in Cooper. He was a self employed oil pumper for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by parents; his step-mother, Lou Ella Cockrum; a sister, Clara Lou Cockrum; and a brother, J.C. Cockrum.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Artley of Gainesville and Jo Kennedy of Denver, CO.; three sisters, Mary Johnson of Ralls; Juanita Gilbert of Idalou; and Charlene Ladd of Fordyce, AR.; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild; four great grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
