LETTER TO THE EDITOR
ParkFest a success ...
Dear Editor,
It seems that the recent Parkfest was an unqualified success. There were lots of people and a bunch of cars in the car show. (I don’t think anyone expected to have over 120 cars entered.) I was fortunate to win a prize for my 1948 Cadillac.
I did notice that the effort to have entertainment on multiple stages was not very successful. That is, the acts appearing in front of Kathy’s Deli were poorly attended. It was disheartening to see the Square Dancers and others giving their all for less than a dozen people.
Perhaps it would have been better to have all the entertainment on one central stage.
Also, the announcement for the car show winners had to be given using a bullhorn rather than the PA system which made it hard to hear who won what. But aside from these minor problems a good time was had by all.
