Iowa Park second at Graham tournament
The IPHS Hawk tennis team finished runners-up Friday at the Graham Tennis Tournament.

Picking up wins for Iowa Park were the Mixed A Doubles team of Weston Cerda and Kalena Reece, and the Mixed B Doubles combo of Jacob Martin and Amanda Hudson.

Ruthie Davis and Ashley Baugh combined for a third place finish in Girls A Doubles, while Garrett Boland and Britton Scott took third in Boys A Doubles, and Michael Whitley third in Boys A Singles.

Amanda Fuhrman finished second in Girls B Singles, while D. J. Shrupp finished second in Boys B Singles.

6-3 TOURNAMENT
Iowa Park will be in the hunt to qualify players for regionals Tuesday and Wednesday at the District 6-3A Tournament in Burkburnett.

Matches begin at 9 a.m. each day, according to Coach David Fuhrman.

JV AT VERNON
The IPHS JV Hawk tennis team competed in a tough Vernon Tournament recently.

In girls singles, Amanda Fuhrman placed fifth and Ashley Heller eighth.

Emily Stickland and Presley Gann finished 13th in girls doubles, while Linda Mueller and Gordan Black took 17th.
In boys singles, Jacob Virgin finished 10th and Aaron Corne 11th.

Jayson Owens and Tanner Haynes took 17th in boys doubles, while Sterling Wright and Jordon Herron were 20th.

In mixed doubles, Landon Boutwell and Chelsea Nash took ninth, while Zane Busby and Jessica Richie were 10th.
