Aquilla Nell Mahler

     Aquilla Nell Mahler passed away Monday, November 29, 2022 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

     She was born on May 22, 1948 in Wichita Falls to Clarence Mahler and Erna Bernhardt Mahler. Aquilla graduated from Holiday High School in 1966.

     Aquilla owned and operated Homestead Ceramics in Iowa Park for many years. She later worked for Avis/Budget Rent A Car before her retirement.

     Aquilla was an avid crafter and quilter. She enjoyed sharing things she made with her loved ones including many sock monkeys made during World Series games. She was an amazing woman who cared deeply for her family, her friends, her animals, her fabric and her plants.

     Aquilla is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Greg Carrillo-Miranda and wife Holly, special friend, Bert Ostermann, brother Barry Mahler, sister Darlene Mahler, son Clay Carrillo-Miranda and wife Janeye, daughter Clare Dunlap and husband Matt and six grandchildren; Cody, Aubree, Grace, Caleb, Camden and Laila.

     Memorial Services are pending for a later date.
