Betty J Braden of Iowa Park, Texas, fell asleep peacefully in her earthly bed to wake up early Saturday August 28, 2021 in the presence of her Lord at the age 95. Betty was born on September 13, 1925 in Randlett, Oklahoma to Samuel M. Braden and Effie (Peacock) Braden.

After graduating from Randlett High School, in Randlett, Oklahoma, Betty went on to work as a ticket clerk at Levi Strauss & Co in Wichita Falls, Texas for 32 years before a well-deserved retirement.

Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed collecting angels, teaching Sunday school, and her involvement with the Women’s Missionary Union. She also was very active in her church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and was the last member of this generation in her family. Her brothers Manuel Braden, Ray Braden, Roy Braden, Sam Braden, and sisters Alta Mae Braden, Ruby Leo, and Ethel Nicholes all went to save room for her above.

She is survived by her beloved nephew Sammy Braden; great niece Hilliary Fontenot; great-great niece Bailey Fontenot; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

The family wishes to express appreciation to Anna Erskine and her several years of friendship and care.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the Randlett Cemetery

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 31, 2021 at 10am at the Randlett Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. Service will be conducted by Cody Vickers.
